Anthony
Fatato’s artwork thrives on cultural diversity, so it is
fitting that he has started his career in New York City. In a
world often defined by cultural division, New York is one of those
rare places that symbolize unity by fostering diversity. Everyone
is a minority in New York … walk ten blocks and you might
hear ten different languages, none of which seems more foreign
than the next, including English.
Training his senses toward both classical and impressionistic
styles, Anthony seeks to create artworks that show the story of
converging cultures and the formation of new ones. When opportunities
arise, he enjoys traveling Europe to visit venerable museums and
draw inspiration and knowledge from many recognized master painters.
Since the late 1990's, Anthony has had studio spaces in Brooklyn,
Manhattan, Jersey City, and Yonkers, just north of the city. He
recently began working from a studio in Redhook, Brooklyn and
divides his time between painting commissions for homes and offices
and painting the subjects that are most compelling to him.

as interested in process as I am in results."
